Role Overview

Suntech Ghana is seeking a highly organized and dependable Store Manager to oversee the receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of materials, tools, and equipment supporting company operations and projects. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and efficient warehouse/store operations aligned with company procedures.

This role is critical in maintaining accountability for company assets and supporting timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities 📊

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials, tools, and equipment
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests when necessary
  • Conduct routine stock checks and periodic physical inventory audits
  • Track movement of items into and out of the store

Receiving & Issuance of Materials

  • Receive, inspect, and verify delivered materials against purchase orders
  • Ensure proper documentation of all received goods
  • Issue materials based on approved requisitions
  • Maintain proper records of issued items

Storage & Organization

  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected
  • Maintain orderly and secure storage conditions
  • Implement safe handling procedures for equipment and materials
  • Prevent damage, loss, or misuse of stored items

Coordination with Departments

  • Work closely with the Procurement and Operations teams
  • Support project teams with timely material availability
  • Report low stock levels and urgent material requirements
  • Assist in planning material distribution for project sites

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate store records and documentation
  • Prepare periodic inventory and stock movement reports
  • Support internal audits and stock verification exercises
  • Ensure compliance with company storekeeping procedures

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Logistics
    • Procurement
    • Business Administration
    • Or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in storekeeping or warehouse management
  • Experience managing technical materials, construction items, or equipment is an advantage
  • Experience supporting project-based operations is preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong inventory management skills
  • Knowledge of storekeeping procedures and documentation
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage stock records efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or inventory systems
