We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Glass and Aluminum company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, project budgeting, material quantification, contract administration, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients on glass and aluminum projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project budgets for glass and aluminum works.
- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Measure and quantify materials, including aluminum profiles, glass, accessories, fittings, and related components.
- Prepare quotations, tender documents, and pricing proposals.
- Monitor project costs and ensure cost control throughout project execution.
- Conduct site visits for measurements and project assessments.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and procurement.
- Evaluate variations, additional works, and prepare valuation reports.
- Assist in contract administration and project documentation.
- Prepare periodic cost reports and financial updates for management.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support project planning and execution teams to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Technology, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the glass, aluminum, construction, or facade industry.
- Strong understanding of construction costing and material estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
- Ability to interpret technical and architectural drawings.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of aluminum fabrication and glazing systems will be an added advantage.
